Timberline annex lot up the western ridge of White River Canyon in leathers with skis and boots on back. Skins on at Palmer top bench, up around Crater Rock to base of Hogsback. Bergschrund looks huge. Cups only get bigger.
Top 500'-1000' medium sun cups on firm base. Last 500' to top bench small smooth cups, and really nice. Upper snow-field was - groomed. Mile canyon pretty soft and skied out, but way better than a kick in the head. Snow runs out between upper and lower equipment parks. One group of four over-nighters just above Palmer top shack. Otherwise, no fresh boot or ski tracks.
Took a glimpse over at Illumination Rock and Zigzag Glacier - last two pics. August looks doable over there.
Two left to close out 60 months.

Yeah baby! Hope I won't need t drive all the way to Oregon ....
That was us, hadn't seen your post before whipping up a quick TR. I think we were breaking camp when you motored by. It was a great day to be out.

Do you have a photo you could post?
A group of us were up there a few weeks ago -- my first time. It would be interesting to see the difference between then and now.
