Based on danpeck's recent TR, Jeff and I felt our best option was to head for the summit ridge of Mt Angeles and ski the north facing line which drops through a large gully.

After a brisk hike up the Switchback trail we headed diagonally up through alternating sections of rock bands and scree. Our route took us to just east of our intended goal. After a leisurely transition, we dropped in and were pleased to find the sun had worked it's magic and turned the snow to creamy corn. About a third of the way down, the run dog-legs to the left, steepens and narrows. This section was more sun cupped and a couple short sections were almost melted out. The lower section was much smoother and skied great.

After a short bushwack we picked up the trail back to Victor Pass and were on our way home.
