The snow is melting fast in the Central Oregon Cascades. We headed up to Mt.Washington yesterday to enjoy what is left. The snow starts at around 6000 feet, but requires close to a 5 mile hike to get to it. However, there is a continuous line that descends from just below the North Ridge all the way to the upper basin of the bowl. Check out my blog to see the whole trip report: http://kickturner.blogspot.com/2013/06/mt-washington-62913.html
Nice trip report!

How were the mosquitoes

Pretty bad. Not the worst I've seen, but they provided plenty of motivation to keep moving. The only time they left us alone was when we were on the snow.
