The snowpack is still skiable on the west slopes, but the runnels are getting bigger with pink stuff growing in them.  We skied the north side of the center run in the bowl above Tipsoo Lake, but the fun factor was limited because of the sun cups and runnels lower down (upper part was nice).   We climbed the ridge to the east into the trees where the slopes were north-facing.  The snow had softened into nice corn and was in great shape.  The runs are shorter there, but there are no runnels and no large sun cups, just very small pockets.  It felt good to be home and skiing in the middle of June.  Next week Sunrise opens and the forecast looks promising.  Here€™s hoping the snowpack is still there!  ;)
