After spending a month in the UK, Jill and I finally enjoyed a day on the snow.  We met some friends at Tipsoo Lake on the west side of Naches Peak.  They circled around to the east slopes, and we skied the treed west bowl.  A few other folks also headed to the east.  It was surprising that no one skied the west area while we were there. The snow was in great shape with an inch or 2 of corn on the steeper slopes. The flat slopes were getting sun-cupped and runnels were appearing. There were tourists out looking at the old folks skiing. The snow bank has a great access point to the area around the Tipsoo Lake.
We were up there on the 13th.  The new snow made things sticky so we went for a walk and ran into some kayakers  :D

Hopefully the old folks skiing were tourists too, at least by the google definition :) :

That is pretty intense. Pretty fortunate to see that action. Didn't know that they dropped that falls. I would have had the phone already dialed 91 and ready to push the last 1!

As Silas identified, we were the old skiers and tourists in the UK.  ;)

The  FreeBird  video entry at the West slopes was great.  His segment on the falls was awesome. Great time being there.  ;)
