Beautiful day at Mt Adams!
--Parking lot almost full at 4.30am. Camping in the burn available. Get ready to get ash everywhere.
--about a mile or so walking until continuous snow for skinning.
-- the snow quality for skinning was great but too soft for bootpacking so people should leave early. I didn't need an axe or crampons but I was happy to have my whippet ready a few times. (I left at 5am)
-- Summit very windy, almost hard to stand. Nice spot/hole to sit down and relax without wind though. Cozy.
--SW Chutes corn fest started at about 1:30 pm. FUN!
--we watched a small slow sluff turn into a high speed huge slide at 3pm on a SW 40¢ ish slope. Heads up!
-- IF you do the SW chutes expect a long bootpacking with plenty of ups and downs (GPS recommended - it is super easy to walk down the wrong drainage)
Highly recommended!

I saw the results of your slide, as I was headed for home on Sunday, and took this picture. I also took another shot of an entire basin that went east of the chutes.
