Left the car at 4:00 or so, skiing by 5:15 or so. Beautiful day, snow was amazingly nice to ski on, not so much to climb on. Jerry and I did about 2.5 laps before returning to the car and by the final ascent my skins were rendered useless by the water. I ended up kicking steps instead. Some kind of wax/waterproofing would probably be pretty advisable at this point.
I was surprised to have the ridge and west slopes to the lake to myself.
It was a beautiful day.
I should have cleaned my skis from Sunday's trip as the pollen had me moving quite slow on the lower slopes. Could have used some graphite wax, it's in the pack now.
