Decided to check out Goat Island with Suze, Steve P, Greg W, Max, and Lorna and were treated to beautiful cloud drama, a spectacularly situated tour, and OK skiing (though I suspect things are shaping up for good corn soon). Saw goat tracks, but no goats. We did encounter a meandering young bear in the Frying Pan creek drainage who paid us no mind. Lots of avalanche activity (natural and skier triggered) on steeper sun affected slopes. About 2 miles of walking before continuous snow is reached on the trail, and it's going fast. A lot less snow than last year at this time for sure.
