June 2, 2013, Mt. Pilchuck before the melt

This was my first trip to Mt. Pilchuck and wow, what a blast. Snow was melting fast, but we got some fun turns all the way to the trailhead. We only had to walk 50 feet on the trail and a little of the road. We lucky to talk to some locals skiers, who helped with the route down East side and to the ridge.
Caution: Watch out for snow melting around the rock and forming large cracks and caves.
Next season we will have to hit it a little earlier.

Nice! You hit her in style! Usually skiers new to the area are reluctant to head over to the East ridge "Larrison Ridge"

Yes indeed, there was river of mush coming down with us. It was a little freaky. :-)
