If it ain't broke, don't fix it.  Silver is skiing perfectly now.  Well the snow could be a bit less sloppy, especially mid day, but continuous skiing and easy access from the cars, both north and west sides of the peak are excellent.  It was quite cool and cloudy today with a couple dozen skiers sharing lots of line choices.

I've heard "Director of Fun" a few times.  But "Director of Jealousy-Induced Torture" might work as well, for those unable to break away. ;)

Thanks for the great report, might have to pay a few personal fines to get an ounce of Silver before it fades away.

Thanks for putting out the call, Silas. I was there today with plenty of others enjoying the conditions.  The only names I caught were Phoebe, the dog, and yours.
some pix here of other skiers and a happy dog

Phoebe was with us: Ted (Phoebe's owner), Anita, Randy, the other Don B[rooks] and me.  Fun day

I was there with Dave M.  This is the perfect window - melted out enough for a short approach but enough snow on the back side for a continuous run down toward the lake.

It was a fun day for sure! We had great ski down to the alder not far above Annette Lake, and pretty OK turns back down to the car too. And despite how festive it was at points, we also never felt crowded - folks really spread out up there.

Checked the WSDOT webcams earlier in the morning and thought about bailing on heading up.  The dog was happy that I decided otherwise.

Is the tinkham chute still holding snow?

looks like your pooch ripped it up, as well

These 2 chutes looked in shape on saturday... Not sure if either of them is the chute you are asking about...

Thanks but what I'm talking about isn't on silver, but is visible from the summit

I'm pretty sure I know the long one you are talking about (the one you are looking at when you're heading back to windy Pass? ) and it looked very boney.
