Just thought I would pass on some info based on our trip out last weekend.
First, the road to Pole Creek trailhead to access North/Middle Sister is closed 5 miles from TH.
So we went to S. Sister instead. You can still ski to road (we crossed 1 5 foot dirt section on return) and the upper crux section still has enough snow to get through the rocks (and a few inches were added while we were there).
The Milk Creek Gulley on Jefferson has a lot less snow than last year even though we were there 2 weeks earlier. We gave up at the 2nd waterfall (both were buried) last year. We could have climbed around it but decided to get back down the thin snow bridges before it warmed up anymore. Did a little recon heading south on the PCT and hit pretty consistent snow around 5000 feet.
