Took my girlfriend and a friend to the top of St Helen's for our first Ski decent from the summit of a volcano.  Long pace up, but totally worth the views and time spent.  Almost nobody on the mountain, maybe 30-40 other folks I saw going up/down.

We dug a pit around 6k just to blow off time while waiting on a party member to catch up. Saw an interesting layer about 3 inches down that slid a bit post 30 hits on a compression test. But was very hard to get it to slide off the stack.

We reached the top, took a few pics then headed down. The snow was so sugary that it skied very fast and you had to stop about 20-30 ft before you actually wanted to with the speed I had.  Over all, it was a wicked fun ski, my first ski from a volcano summit and my girlfriends first volcano summit.

We then spent the next day with my Friend and his girlfriend at Alpental skinning where we met up with Silas and crew for a dusk patrol. I turned around at C1 there to go back and hang with friends in the lot.

This weekend was one of the better ones I've had in a while.

We were on the mountain also, trying to beat the Mother's Day crowd.

Very good ski for the first 2K, but the bottom was going fast.
