G3 Skin Glue Renew

Has anyone used the G3 Climbing Skin Glue Renew before? I just used it to buff up my skins before an upcoming trip in the Sierra Nevada and found it to be quite frustrating to use. The strips are easy to cut up and lay out on the skins but the paper backing is a real bear to peel off without leaving traces or big swaths of it stuck to the glue . Perhaps I wasn't letting it cool long enough? Anyone else had this experience with the stuff? >
