Nice breeze keeping the skinning cool. 1-2" mush on a firm base for skiing. Beautiful views and quiet hill.† Inspired by mikerolfs I tried and succeeded in skinning 10066'.† I'm tired now even though I used my superlightest setup and carried no pack all day. Oh well.

Checked out Hyak before heading home, it's getting lean.

The comparison between coverage at West and Hyak is helpful for planning - thanks for the information!

You skinned 10K at WEST?!? You sick bastard!

Bummer about Hyak; it's been my go-to spot after work lately. It was already patchy down low on Thursday, but still skiable. I figured last weekend would do it in. The good news is Alpental's wide-open now! Saw the lifts running yesterday. Patrol should be finished with tear-down by the end of the week, if they arenít already.
