Started touring by 8:00 on frozen ~1" suncrust over soft powder. Sizable surface hoar in the shade. Small snow bridge over the creek. By 10:00 the suncrust had softened enough to be carvable. The descent was pleasant, owed to good timing.
How thin is the coverage getting? (Thanks for the information!)
At the bottom, scant; this hot spell will wipe out the bottom. But from the base of the face up, it's hanging in there. A few patches, but still good. Here is a vid: http://youtu.be/Gf2gXpaVSM0
You can still ski to the parking lot, we were there last night. Front side firmed up (crust on mank), while the back side shmoo skied well in the wanning sun. Fun ski laps after work!
