April 22-25, 2013, Bean Creek
« on: 04/28/13, 12:23 PM »

Thanks Russ for reminding me a few months ago to keep an eye on Teanaway road conditions, Nick for reporting ski conditions, Zack for cush accommodations, and various friends who joined me on successive days for Earl runs!  Aspect, timing, temperature, and wind made for slight variations in snow quality each bluebird day (except for a gray Tuesday morning.)  What a great start to the 2013 spring ski season.  Over the four days, none were really bad and we found everything from just warmed granular corn to 3" mush.

It was interesting, but not surprising, to see how much more bare ground was exposed each day on the approach road and trail.  Reports from Friday and yesterday suggest that other locales are better ski choices now.

I was up there Monday and Thursday(red jeep), was wondering who the ski bums were camped out in the van! Must have missed metting you up there somewhere, same guy that met you at summit west that one day.

Monday was one of the best days of spring skiing I have ever had!

Who are you calling a bum? It was a nice streak of days up there. If you see the white whale in the future swing in for a brew.
