Starting around 11:30, we made our way up the snowfield under sunny skies and with comfortable temps (high 40s/low 50s). After an afternoon lunch/nap break, the descent began at around 4 pm from just below Anvil Rock through the Nisqually Chutes to the bridge. The snow had turned from nice corn to something a little heavier by the time we were skiing, but it was still fun. A decent number of pinwheels and rollerballs were observed through the Chutes, so we did our best to get down and out as quickly as possible. A hitch back up to Paradise seemed unlikely, but a big thank you to Amar and Hannah (sp?) for making it happen. Also, special thanks to my partner, mikeb, for hanging with me and showing me some pointers on more efficient uphill travel. A nice, safe day, all-in-all.
