North slopes of Heather ridge were extremely reactive. We set off pretty good 1 ft. slab on a convex roll next to us that slid a few hundred feet. We bailed up then cautiously looked on the south side and found very different snow - no cracking or slabs. Stuck to meadow skipping low angle without any roll overs. Snowing heavily all day and got progressively warmer. Pretty darn good powder though for mid-April!

Choose yer slopes carefully, or hit the area (we talked to a guy in the parking lot who set off a small slide in the area and saw some other people set off a pretty goodun).
Lookin good! We could see all of your tracks on Sunday, when the sun came out.

Jim,  Great to see your post. As your dear sis has probably shared, I'm not doing much skiing these days. Really sorry I couldn't get out to be your "action model". Please keep posting your beautiful photos to give me the stoke to see my "kneehab" through to functional success. And by success I meanskiing powder with you again one day. Keep getting after it and smiling. Make turns for me. I'm counting on you!

Bruce
