Stopped off at Chinook Pass to combine some snow play with work on my way back from a work-related project in Yakima. Fortunately, the remaining snow coverage is still generally good on shaded slopes surrounding . Time constraints (i.e. returning to the office to meet a project deadline) limited this very short "lunchbreak outing" to skinning-up for a mere 15 minutes for a quick descent on the eastern slope of Yakima Peak. It was nice to be back on the boards again though, even if only for ~200 vertical feet, following a 3 week ski hiatus (while off pursuing other fun adventures abroad in the mountains of Peru).
Anyway, most of the bowls on Naches Peak still appeared to have generally good remaining snow coverage (about 2-to-3 feet), though the ridgelines are bare or thinly covered.
