Rainier, up NI, ski FF: elusive 10,600' bridge run
« on: 03/31/13, 03:33 PM »

I finally got my continuous ski from Columbia Crest to the Nisqually River Bridge yesterday. Not the best conditions I've ever had, but plenty good enough for a man of modest skiing abilities. I got to the top via the Nisqually Icefall.

Pics and prose here:

Best weekend weather I can remember in March, too. Cheesy

Edited the title lest anything think I skied the Nisqually Icefall. Not this time Smiley

No one of modest skiing abilities skis off the summit of Rainier.  Brilliant job.

Nice report Loren. 10,600 vf of skiing is a whopper. Had it been me, I would have taken my skis off after around 7,000 vf and walked for a while just to remember what it was like.
