Late start at 9AM, on a short tour we found good frozen corn skiing on north slopes down to 4700', then mush on all aspects, at least it was consistent.  Hope the next few clear days will create a stiff crust.
It's all about timing/aspect/elevation/terrain when the weather gets like this... N slopes were frozen hard when I was on my way (7am) and I fairly easily booted a W. slope out of Cave Ridge.  Turned the corner on a wind protected SE slope--a real solar sink--and conditions radically changed to sun softened mush.
S. skied very nicely down to just above 4K, at which point I wished I were on a splitboard...  (i.e. breakable crust)

of note were cracks found on big cornices, 30 ft. back from the lip on the Lundin col cornice (think of a giant inverted triangle). Talked to some folks who'd been up on Red and reported the same.  These could easily be covered up by another snowfall--but they're still there... please be careful.
