Saturday Jen and I skied exceptional untracked powder on the slopes around Lappi Lake in the Montana Bitterroots accessed via a 14 mile out-and-back up Bass Creek. It was both one of our best and longest days of the season so far.
It being our first time in that drainage we had some route finding difficulties on the approach but we found a better route on the way out and will certainly be back.

(Relatively speaking, This area is just out I-90 so I expect to see the much maligned "TAY Herds" next weekend. Just leave the snow bikes, it is in a wilderness area. ;))
