Another sweet powder day on the Kendall Massif! S facing crust on sunny slopes largely (but not always completely) melted in today's sunshine. N facing and trees were excellent powder, especially higher. No apparent signs of avy risk, though stuff in the sun (including cornices) is getting baked, and we saw a single slope-wide crown on the high wind-loaded and sun-exposed face of a distant SE(?)-facing peak.

Yeah... it was like that!

Other party members may have some photos to share...
We skied the same route yesterday (3/24) minus dropping off the backside. Indeed, S facing exposed faces were covered in a knee busting wind crust 2-3" deep. Virtually unskiable. Lots of hardened slide debris in the open fields near the crest. Snowpack felt stable. Once we dropped into the NW facing trees in line with the PCT, the skiing was incredible.
