Looking to reduce the likelihood of Type II fun my friend Megan and I headed South to Crystal to try and avoid skiing in liquid sunshine.  Instead we skied in actual sunshine, and some halfway decent snow to boot.  I'm not very familiar with the Crystal BC but I think we were in/around Pickhandle.  The snow below ~5,000' was full on bottomless mush, but above that things became much more supportable, with a smooth, corn like surface predominating.  Lots of wet slide debris on all aspects but we didn't see anything move today.  It's always nice when expectations are exceeded!  A couple photos from today:

Greasy dinner at the Yella Beak provided a nice capper to a surprisingly fun day as well!
Megan looks like a ripper--great form!

Sunday's looking good again...

- excellent pics
