Toured with a gaggle of friends to poke around and see what the snow had to offer.

Saturday afternoon: Sunny protocorn on the sunny side, 6" of friendly dust atop edgeable crust in the shade. In between in between. 4pm ski cuts on SW slopes up high entrained the top ~2", sluffs ran slow. Looked like S slopes ran more easily for folks earlier in the day. Thanks for the ridgetop skintracks - they were astute.

Sunday: With limited warming on tap, we decided to make the best of the shade. Light snow showers through most of the day felt like Christmas. A repeat of a traverse from yesterday on the sunny side was firm and careful. The snow had settled further, but sheltered and shady slopes below 5k delivered fun turns.  A counter-clockwise circumnavigation of Union kept us in good snow for a while, 'till the traverse toward Union Gap.  Snow changed to friendly drizzle on the road-glide to the car.

Fun trip. Thanks all!
Nice pic of the Chiwaukums.  Some good lines to be had there for those who don't mind a bit of an approach.
