I toured solo out the Obstruction Point Road in foggy conditions. The slope below the west face of Steeple was skinnable except one stretch just below the ridge, then I left skis and booted the last few hundred yards. There was a bit of early-onset sluffing here. Completely socked in but a worthwhile summit.
There was a way to ski continuously through the rock bands onto the open face, which carved pretty well with 1-2" fresh, over a warmed death crust and yesterday's wet slide debris, After a victory burger at the Hurricane Ridge visitors' center, I rallied for two more laps on the Lodge Run at the end of the parking lot. Daylight Skiings Time!

Mack! Nice to see you getting out ;)
It's been too long, we need to tour. Just returned from a week of skiing in UT. ONP has maintained some great conditions this year. Sounds like you had quite the adventure ;D

Mack, You've got to bring your camera for some of your ONP or are you still keeping it secret. ;)
