Didn't make it entirely to the top of Jove Peak.  I started to get a bit worried about the potential avalanche conditions.  But everything skied stable and fine.  Roughly boot top fresh snow with a hard crust underneath.  The bond with the lower wet snow was not particularly good, but fortunately every thing was so unconsolidated there was not an issue.  A fine day.
We found similar conditions on Lichtenberg, and did not attempt gaining the summit ridge because of large spatial variability.  The pit we dug at 5200' showed no deep slab issues but we were worried about pocket wind slabs, as the terrain would go from ~12"-18" powder to scraped clean frozen solid 2" crust (at which point ski crampons would have been desirable).
