I was wondering if anyone had been up lately and seen what the run out to the Valley was like? I haven't been there since the end of December when there was already plenty of snow, but the drainage's were pretty deep then.
The Whistler backcountry is trashed. The east side of Flute is completely tracked out as are both the west and east faces of Oboe. Cowboy Ridge looks like a lift area. The couloirs on Fissile are getting heavy traffic; two days ago we counted 19 people headed for the couloirs. Whirlwind has been skied by four parties in the last three days. It will take a lot of snow to fill in all the tracks. On a brighter note, the outhouse at the Russet Lake hut is in very good shape and there's toilet paper there.

Thanks for the reply. Luckily my skiing there this month starts on Saturday. If the forecast holds, up most tracks will be covered by then. Because the  bottom of the trail out is so low, I was wondering about that. With all that use, I'm sure it's a luge run.
