An amazing trip was had to Huckleberry Mountain, north of Snoqualmie Pass. Beginning via the Kendall Stump and Kendall Ridge, we skied the twin couloirs into Silver Creek Basin. Soft wind crust, yet a wonderful sustained line.  Afterwards we climbed out of the basin up and over to Gravel Lake where we spent the night.  The next morning we headed up the steep ridge Northeast of the lake and skied down the open slopes to Edd's Lake.  From Edd's we skinned up to the SW ridge of Huckleberry to yet another saucy couloir. With low vis, we skied rather conservatively, but a fine line nonetheless. Climbing back up, we navigated the northern flanks of Huckleberry to a great camp site on the Eastern shoulder of the mountain @5600ft.  In the morning we descended down to Joe Lake and headed up and over Alaska Mountain to Alaska Lake.  From there it was the homestretch in the hot pm sun over Kendall Catwalk (via a lower and rappel @5400ft) into Commonwealth basin.

Stats: 3 days. 14.7 miles. 9880ft gain/loss.

An amazing tour to end the Cascades AMGA Ski Guide Course. Great thanks to the AMGA Instructor team of Margaret Wheeler and Peter Leh. The most greatest fellow guides in training Andrew, Pierson, Alex, Erick, Mike, Tucker, Andy, Oyvind, Ryan, and yours truly.
Ran into some of you a week ago... good to see further fruits of your progression.  Nice terrain and mixed conditions.
Huckleberries in cream sauce, one of my favorites.

And if anyone would like to hang with 11 of the finest BC travelers, learn huge amounts of ski mountaineering lore and sweat off your coach potato layer, I couldn't recommend a better course than the AMGA Ski Guide Course (http://amga.com/programs/ski_SGC.php).  Certainly world class training.

On another note, anyone know the origins of this photo?  Extra snaps if you can guess where it's from.
