Three of us took a day tour on Mt Yotie, yesterday.  It stormed most of the day, with a few moments of visibility out to the lower country.  The snow quality on the lower terrain was great, but as we made our way above tree line the wind was quite strong, and the snow was not as good. Spotted a rabbit/hare that looked much like our snowshoe hare's, big and fast, it foot print was bigger than my hand.  Skiing in the trees was mid thigh, there had been some sun the day before, that formed a little sun crust.  You could feel it, but not enough to dampen the fun.  In the thicker Birch forest it was superb.  Pictures to follow.
Uhh, is Mt.Yotie by Clara Lake?  I'm confused by your post Jamie!

Finely managed to wrestle a few pictures on to this trip report.  The skiing was really quite good, and made all the more fun by the fact that we were in such an exotic place for us, skiing in a birch forest was the best.

Visibility was not much, but the trees helped.

My vote for "Joke of the Year!" thus far on this here site.....

Cool looking terrain jtack.  Looks like skiing in somebody's steep yard in Virginia or New York or something.
