February 1-2 ONP, 3 lines, 2 days

Good weather but not the best ski conditions last weekend, nevertheless conducive to adventuring in our back yard. Snow conditions were fairly awful on northerly aspects with breakable crust over unsupportive nothingness as a result of the rain (similar to runcle's assessment). Best skiing was on south facing slopes where the melt-freeze was supportable and offered a 3 hour window of soft turns midday. The key was not to wait too long as it was refreezing by 2pm.
