Varied snow conditions, all speaking to the recent warm temperatures. Down low, a thin crunchy layer that won't support skis. Not terrible skinning, not great. Up high, a tougher crust on all aspects, maybe from a brief rain or warming spell, buried beneath a couple inches of looser snow. Quite carveable. In the afternoon down low (say 4000'), it was a glop/corn hybrid. Would have been miserable if it was much deeper; as it was, it skied nicely, if energetically.
Views, excellent; exercise, considerable; day quality, much better than work.

Thanks for beta. My favorite backyard hill
