With Alpental closed, we felt safe skinning up the sidecountry out track to Big Trees which we skied twice in 18" fluff, constantly snowing and light winds. We saw minimal sluffing but others skiing steeper lines set off 18-24" slabs in Unicorn. The powder is baaaack!
