Rain in North Lake Tahoe drove me back to Utah, and its much more promising weather forecast.  Banking on North facing slopes above 9,000 feet holding good snow my friend Nick and I headed for Wolverine Cirque from the LCC side.

Cool morning light sure beat the foggy haze found in SLC:

Looking out over the Central Wasatch.  Pfeifferhorn lookers left with the Hypodermic Needle visible on the right if you look closely.

The Cirque:

Untracked (heavy by LCC standards) snow made for good turns with some crust shots here and there.

Nick went first:

The snow lower down was even better, with no underlying crust present.

Mustached and happy:

Conditions in the Cottonwoods should improve/become very good if the forecast holds and 10-14" of snow comes through.
