We hired a guide to go touring.
PNWBrit( banned) and I met up with him at the Flegere ski area.
From the top lift we put skins on and headed up a steep technical skin track and boot pack to a col.
From there the fun began. Blue skies but it was very cold in the shade.
We skied a steep couloir requiring jump turns in good but slabby powder.
I was a bit scared and not frightened to admit it as there was some exposure and it was long and steep.
From the base we toured up to the Breche de Berad. A fairly long skin.
The Breche is also called the keyhole as it comprises a rocky narrow passintp the next valley.
From the Breche we skied about 5000 vf down to the village of Buet.
The snow was hero powder and probably the best run I have ever had.
In Buet we had a beer and the got the bus back to Chamonix and met up with the girls.
The bc conditions in Cham right now are  superb.
Will post photos later.
Tomorrow if the weather holds we are going to self guide ourselves down the Valle Blanche.

Looking forward to your photos.

Hope the weather will be great for the Valle Blanche.

Leave some for me :) I'll be there in a week. Keep the beta coming!

Nice man. Another great report. I have rock climbed in the Aiguille Rouge, your report brings back great memories.

North Face of the Midi in your plans.........the Mallory perhaps???? Yikes.........
