Well, I was planning on an easier day touring the Tatoosh but was talked into the Muir march, aided by plenty of sunshine. It was cold (high of 13 deg F at Muir) but sunny and little wind. I was sluggy so stopped around 9100 ft or so. Laura and Mason chugged onward to tag the hut. Not too busy, maybe 10 folks or so up high, a handful of others were lower.
Snow was great. A little dense and wind affected above 8k - others said a bit of crust the last 500 ft. Below 8k was light with a solid base. Pan face was perfect. Hoar in the shadow of trees low. Sounds like temps will be rising just a tad this week so things may morph.
Skied out Edith - some nice faces there, though I forgot you have to climb that bit after the bridge.
