Took a large group to the area -- we did some beacon practice searches around and on Hen Skin lake. Then toured areas SSE off the lake and to Bear Gap itself. The snow in the tree sheltered areas and other areas sheltered from the wind and sun was quite enjoyable. Also hit some wind hammered stuff just N of Bear Gap that was skittery. Followed the openings in the forest and then the creek bed back to the top of Discovery -- unfortunately the snow in steep ravine section had picked up enough sun to be crusty and chunky. Still some scary holes in the creek bed.
