This was my first trip to Tatoosh and what a beautiful tour with friends and my daughter.

We made it to Narada parking at 0830 (only two cars there).  Temp was 17 degrees and the snow condition was 4-6" new snow over a very firm base.  In some places it was boilerplate, so you really had to pick your ski line.

Met a range at the saddle and asked about good routes down, but he was too new and it was his first trip to the ridge.
Also met a snowshoeing couple from Kentucky, who took a group pictures.

I would love to skiing the South in better condition, way too crusty on Saturday.

Great trip, it a wonderland.

Extra nice report and pictures ! Fantastic day eh ?  You actually met two people from Ky.  Dave and I (KY) leap frogged  you all  the way up.  I kept talking to the guy my age with the Bultaco sticker on his skis.
From the pics it appears you skied down into The Sunbeam drainage. We stopped short of Foss peak then skied down the Eastern shoulder into the same drainage and exited same as you across Reflection  lake.
I also talked with the other KY guy as I returned his water bottle he had dropped

Do you have any high-res or full size pictures of the south side of rainier? thanks.

Yes, but some of the photos were taken with iPhone, are not very hi-res.

Might be sufficient for you, kevino?
