Becky and I had (foolish?) hopes of outclimbing the crust on the east side and finding something north facing and powdery that would've escaped the rain crust....we had no such luck.

Not really a ski report, just more of a conditions report for what one should expect to find in the Eightmile Lake/Cashmere vicinity.  Crust of all types was everywhere up to our high point of about 5400ft...the sun glinting off the crust above for at least another 1500vf made us decide to pull the plug and start the rolly polly slide back out to Icicle Creek Rd.

Thanks to whomever set the skin track the day or two before us heading to the same destination.

You're welcome!  Kyle and I were in there the day before.  We got up to around 5,500' in that north facing bowl, and didn't even strip the skins the entire day.  At least it was nice out  and the climbing was decent in the Icicle!  Good exercise, and always useful to practice the fine art of down-skinning.

Thanks for the conditions report.
