Hey ddk,
I ski Crystal some, and know it reasonably well.  For example, the difference between PB and BP.  I enjoy reading your reports.  However, they often contain references to places I don't recognize and are not on any map.

If you feel you are not revealing sekrits, I'm curious about where these runs are:

M-world
Doors
Memorial
Ann's Run
Snake Pit
Berry Patch
Eagle's Nest
Showtime

btw, the fortune cookies included with the Udon Bowl have ski-related topics.  Like  "Ski your run without stopping and you will learn the secret of life."

Can't really call them secrets when the Patrol would prefer you know about them:

I'm curious about where these runs are:

M-world
Doors
Memorial
Ann's Run
Snake Pit
Berry Patch
Eagle's Nest
Showtime

Some of these are personal names developed by our group over the years for areas for which we couldn't find names on the maps.

M-World was a shortening of M-Forest from Memorial Forest, in the line of Walley World
Memorial (Forest) is Frontside area in the trees Between Sunnyside and Iceberg/Mid-Ferk's
Doors is the area through the trees skier's right of REX
Ann's run is one of my wife's favorite stashes just before the base of GV Chair
Snake Pit is Skiers left of Iceberg/Mid Ferk's, right of Upper Bull that ends up in the dip just before old C1 chairline
Berry Patch is below Rock Face off Kelly's Gap road
Eagles Nest is actually Eagles Drop as on the ski patrol list
Showtime is Rex Chairline named for the show you put on

More on names I've used. Been trying to get my names more in line with ski patrol since they posted their lists a couple years ago. Many places still lacking.

I guess everyone else has filled in the blanks already....thanks for the question AlpineRose and every one else - saved me some typing. It does help a lot if everyone has some name to location familiarity, especially yesterday when we were calling in the ski patrol to help a hurt skier on I5.

Thanks all for satiating my curiosity. Now I will know where I am when I ski all those places I didn't know had names.
