John if you compiled your ski and climb reports into a book, I'd buy that book.

Amazing.  I'm sure this is the first ski trip report that had me literally on the edge of my seat.

Thanks Mike!

So which genre would this book fall under?  "Jackass Adventure"?

Wow! So glad this story had a happy ending, and we can keep on having fun in the general Lworth environs.

Scotty-o, glad you and John are all good!  Watch that step out to the garbage, it's a doosey. Wink

I remember you, Brad and I trying to scout the TC a few years ago back on our close summit of DT.  Nice solid work guys.  Things turned out well enough for us to congradulate you guys, which is good!

John, after almost 20 years of being a rock climber as well, the moment of a failed confidence in an anchor setup can set a lot of people into a panic.  Sounds like you guys kept an incredible level-headed approach that contributed to the positive end result.

Thanks for an aweing trip.  Nice work guys!

Balls.  Knowing what that area looks like combined with your pics and words made me feel a lump in my throat as if I was there.

And finally, the denouement of our descent.  Frostbite of middle finger, and frostnip for the pointer finger, resultant from the torn glove.  Thankfully, neither deep tissue nor bone were affected by it, and full recovery is expected.  Unfortunately, the fingers will be cold sensitive for a few more years.  Sorry if it repulses some of you, but for others this stuff is fascinating.  I've never ever had frostbite nor even nip before now.

Wow, John! I first met you in 2010 via photos taken of you on those lines. So extremely relieved you two came away from there relatively unscathed! Take care of those finger tips, and look forward to seeing you again, sooner than later.

Glad to have you two still around.

Amazing what two souls individually unsure in the confidence of the situation can accomplish when they are 100% confident in each other.

This TR hits the alpine heart hard. Thanks for the candid sharing.
