I scored a pair of Kronsberg 300 wooden touring skis at Goodwill for $14.00 over Christmas hoping I could crank out a few tele turns with them.

This afternoon Kaitland and I met at the top of the hill and we found about 8 inches of dense powder conditons to farm.  For the most part the skiing was pretty good on northerly exposures with some breakable sun crusting taking place. The crust was pretty soft and did not pose too much of a problem and I was able to break through with the Kronsbergs. Initially it looked as though we were going to be socked in with no visibility and then all of the sudden the clouds parted and it was beautiful above the undercast.

Ice, wind affected, hard breakable crusting on the southerly aspects made for a cautions return trip!
Glad to hear the north side slopes are holding up.  :D

Looks like you guys had a good day. Although it's a bit of work to get there, the reward is definately worth the effort.  ;)
