Which Mt. am I? Stevens Pass area was created by bivywack
A ski buddy and I are headed for adventure this weekend in the Stevens pass area. He sent me this pic as a possible future project, and I'm trying to get some beta. Does anybody know this peak by name? Or could somebody point it out on a USGS with coordinates. I want to dig into my topos to see the local terrain.

Apparently this peak can be seen from Heather Ridge, aspect unknown. Sorry, I'm not too familiar with the area yet.

www.biglines.com/photos/blpic38902.jpg

Looks like the west face of Rock Mtn. It's certainly caught my eye too... it's a bit of a haul to get in there.

Im pretty sure that is Rock Mountain also. If I remember correctly there was a trip report on this site sometime early in the season with some pictures. I guess the North side
also has some good early season skiing.

Sean

The W face of Rock is a nice ski. We have done it by snowmobiling from Lk Wenatchee then skinning Snowy Cr Tr, if I recall correctly, about 1 1/2 miles to the base of the slope.

It can be done by hiking up from the highway by the Rock Mt. Tr. (up-down-up-down). I know of it being done by bushwacking on snow through the brush of the big clearcut up valley above Hwy 2, and traversing some allegedly nasty terrain to get over to the Rock Mt summit ridge.

In summer, it is a nice hike up the Snowy Cr Tr to the summit of Rock Mt.
