December 28, 2012 - Wenatchee Foothills
« on: 12/29/12, 10:05 PM »

Yesterday I had a great ski adventure, and today I learned that a ski hero and friend left us for greener pastures.  I'm torn about reporting my trip, so I'm going to give the abbreviated version.

Adappen suggested a ski of the east ridge of Twin Peaks (Horse Lake Mountain on the map).  Since I consider it my moral obligation to ski those lines that are seldom skiable, I said yes.

Car shuttle, headlamp approach, crazy cloud lake, amazing terrain.
Since this is skiable only very seldomly, we felt pretty lucky to be making turns down the east ridge of twin peaks.

Yea, I like the scenes where you seem to be chasing the elk.

Nice rock scene too!  Looks like a fun adventure.

I guess I should clear up that the dear shots were shot from afar with a zoom.  I wasn't really chasing the dear.

Surprising you would hit a rock in seven inches of snow! You fun hogs!
