- after the current storm cycle, there should be about a 10 ft base! as these storms are bringing up to 5 ft. In regards to the avalanche forecast - the usual, windslab areas should be avoided; and there is a persistent weak layer from earlier in the month. As one would expect, the avalanche danger is High, or Extreme. The storm door stays open for next wk. Incredible
