Arrived to chilly and windy weather. Under all the new snow there was a supportable crust about an inch thick. There was anywhere from a few inches to a foot of new snow on top of the crust. Pretty stormy all day. Skin track getting filled in minutes after passing through it. Low density snow, so cold it was not very cohesive except in spots where wind was packing it together. We did get an approximately 20 foot wide by 8 foot long slab release at the bottom of a roller where the terrain began to steepen. It didn't move more than a few inches. This was at about 6000 feet on a S-SW slope.
