Left Alpental lot at 8. We skiied around the phantom pretty wide through the woods on spotty coverage, but once we entered the slide path above it was sunshine and 4-6 inches of fresh snow! Reached the top at 10:30, enjoyed the spectactular view, and hurried down, as some snowballing was occuring as well as as some loose snow slides on the steep slopes (forgot about daylight savings!) Ohhhhhhh--the top 1,500 ft. was good. The bottom half was a hike, but still fun. Wish I'd gotten up earlier or had time to do a run off the back side. Saw you all over at Alpental getting the dry stuff!
