Dec 9, 2012, Hurricane Ridge

Headed up to the ridge yesterday, hoping the weather man was going to be wrong, but alas they were right.

Got up there nice and early while it was still cold, and in an effort to maximize turns we did laps on the slope just south of the visitors center. Were able to ski all the way down to where the two creeks merge so maybe about 800'. Did 3 laps, First lap was amazing fun, second lap still good but getting heavy and setting off pinwheels, by the bottom of the 3rd lap light rain freezing to the googles.

All and all an awesome first day of the year, but we bailed about 1pm. Never went up higher so It could have been snowing still at higher elevations, but vis was terrible.
