A little avalanchey out today for solo skiing so I stayed in the trees. Where it was nice and face shotty all day. Talked to a friend of a friend that went for a ride off the top into the bowl on the east side of "Cornice Ridge" "Cougar Peak." About two feet slid, he said. Others farther around the rim had good steep powder riding. There was no secret that it was avalanchey out and the helicopter dropping bombs above the road.
Be safe out there. See you tomorrow.
I wanted to add a photo of the "little avalanche" that the friend of a friend set off Saturday. It runs left to right off the shoulder of Cornice Peak down into the trees.
And here is two photos from tree skiing on the south side of the road.

I got to tour 1 day there a few winters back... That place is seriously magical! Lucky you.
