Wet snow at road level today (4000') but good skiing above.
Using incentive from Jeff Ward to post avvy conditions here until FOAC info site is working.
Climbing S-L ridge at 6 to 6600' observed several crowns from natural releases (N & NE facing slopes) and had settling and shooting cracks on sides of ridge. Hiked close to a 2' crown that ran into thick trees down backside. Above here caused two more releases 100' and 50' wide just by climbing on rt side of ridge. As I felt the snow settle, I looked downslope and saw the slabs take off 30 to 50' below me where the slope breaks over.
Slopes that sensitive may run naturally with more loading the next few days. If they don't, there will be some real danger hanging! Use great care in all terrain terrain choices until things stabilize.
Today, we played it quite safe on the way down and had great turns.
